“The October 7th terrorist attack was the greatest assault on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. For the hostages still being held by Hamas and their families, the nightmare is not over. Israel is an important ally to the United States as the only democracy in the region and I support their efforts to dismantle Hamas and bring the hostages home. If they are to ensure security for the next generation, Netanyahu must target Hamas surgically and with the protection of innocent Gazans in mind.

Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, announced that Chicago and Milwaukee, who are each hosting the 2024 presidential candidate nominating conventions, will receive $75 million in funding for security operations and law enforcement surrounding the conventions. The funding was included in the Fiscal Year 2024 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies (CJS) Appropriations Act which passed the House today.

Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), a member of the House Committee on Appropriations and Ranking Member of the Transportation, Housing, and Urban-Development Subcommittee, announced that he has secured $12,523,436 for Community Funding Projects in the Fiscal Year 2024 appropriations government funding package. The funding, which passed out of the House today, is expected to pass out of the Senate and be signed into law by President Biden later this week.
