During his time in office, he championed environmental justice and helped orchestrate the Camp David Accords, brokering a peace between Israel and Egypt that endures to his day and helping ensure the survival of the state of Israel.

I have always believed that some legislation should be above partisan politics regardless of who holds the majority. This includes the National Defense Authorization Act, which I have consistently supported throughout my time in Congress.
