"President Biden's visit to Kyiv ahead of the one-year anniversary of Putin's brutal invasion sends a clear message: The United States stands with Ukraine.
Today, Representatives Mike Quigley (D-IL). Bill Keating (D-MA), Joe Wilson (R-SC), Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), and Jim McGovern (D-MA) reintroduced legislation calling on President Biden to support the establishment of an international tribunal for the punishment of the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
Today, U.S. Representatives Mike Quigley (D-IL-05) and Darin LaHood (R-IL-16), members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, announced that they are exploring and intend to introduce legislation to implement stronger enforcement for mishandling of classified documents. Currently, criminal penalties for mishandling classified documents must meet a high standard for prosecution. Quigley and LaHood plan to introduce civil penalties for violations that do not meet that high criminal standard.

U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) led several of his top priorities across the finish line in the closing weeks of 2022. On the final legislative day of the year, Quigley secured more than $16.5 million in funding for local community projects and saw President Joe Biden sign his bill the Access to Congressionally Mandated Reports Act into law as part of the National Defense Authorization Act. Earlier in December, Quigley's Big Cat Public Safety Act was passed by the Senate and was also signed into law by the President.
