This bill calls on U.S. companies still operating in the Russian Federation to reconsider their continued presence, which helps to support the Russian economy, given Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.

Today, U.S. Representatives Mike Quigley (IL-05), Ritchie Torres (NY-15), and Eric Sorensen (IL-17) led 23 members in a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in support of the FDA’s proposed risk-based questionnaire to reduce the risk of HIV transmission by blood and blood products. The letter was submitted to the FDA as a part of the 60-day notice-and-comment period for the draft guidance.

Currently, criminal penalties for mishandling classified documents must meet a high standard for prosecution.

Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), Co-Chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, visited the Joint Systems Manufacturing Center (JSMC) in Lima, Ohio, to learn about the production of M1 Abrams tanks, the most advanced and survivable tanks in the world. In January, President Biden announced the delivery of 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine as they continue to defend themselves against Putin’s illegal invasion.
Based on information the House Appropriations Committee received from agency leaders in the Biden Administration, House Republicans’ reported proposal to cut fiscal year 2024 discretionary spending back to the fiscal year 2022 enacted level—resulting in a cut of at least 22 percent for essential programs—would endanger public safety:
