U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), co-chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, is circulating a draft letter to the Biden administration calling for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to be granted to Ukrainians amidst the ongoing Russian invasion. TPS provides protection from deportation for individuals of a country where conditions prevent them from returning. Today, the Co-Chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Ukraine Caucus – Representatives Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Mike Quigley (D-IL), and Andy Harris (R-MD) – released the following statement regarding Russia's attack on Ukraine.

This week, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), along with 34 members of the Congressional LGBTQ+ Equality Caucus and the Congressional Ukraine Caucus sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, urging him to take steps to protect LGBTQ+ individuals and other minorities in Ukraine. In the letter, Members noted the additional risks the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized communities are likely to face now that an invasion by Russia has begun.
