Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) declared Chicago the home of the nation’s best pizza following a visit to one of Chicago’s iconic pizzerias. Quigley visited Pat’s Pizzeria on Lincoln Avenue where he met with staff and enjoyed a slice. To watch a video of Quigley’s visit, click HERE.

Today, U.S. Representatives Mike Quigley (IL-05) and Michael McCaul (TX-10) introduced a resolution seeking recognition of May 2024 as National Brain Tumor Awareness Month. Each year, tens of thousands of Americans receive a primary brain tumor diagnosis which carries a five-year survival rate of only 36 percent for malignant tumors. Today, more than one million people in the United States are estimated to be living with a primary brain tumor and approximately 94,000 more will be diagnosed in 2024.

Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), a member of the House Committee on Appropriations and Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development announced his support for 15 community projects he has submitted for funding consideration for the upcoming fiscal year. The 15 community projects were selected from nearly 70 applications and marks the fourth time members have been able to submit specific community projects for direct funding since 2021.
