(Washington, D.C., April 18, 2011) American Bird Conservancy, (ABC) the nation's leading bird conservation organization, today applauded legislation introduced by Illinois Congressman Mike Quigley (D-IL) that will prevent the deaths of millions of birds that collide with windows at thousands of federal buildings across the country.

This morning, at a hearing focused on the Obama Administration's decision that the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is unconstitutional, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) continued his efforts to fight back against inequality by stating that the unjust law was based on nothing more than a moral disapproval of gay and lesbian couples.

Legislation would show how each taxpayers dollars are spent, as well as how much the federal government is borrowing in their name.
