U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) and 80 bipartisan Members of the House of Representatives introduced H.R. 3361, the USA FREEDOM Act: United and Strengthening America by Fulfilling Rights and Ending Eavesdropping, Dragnet Collection, and Online Monitoring Act. H.R. 3361 seeks to restore Americans’ privacy rights by ending the government’s bulk collection of phone records and requiring increased government oversight and public scrutiny of the government’s domestic surveillance programs.
