Holding the White House Accountable
Since President Donald Trump's second inauguration, I have been working hard to oppose his dangerous actions. From cosponsoring legislation to limit Elon Musk's access to sensitive data to speaking out on the House floor, I am determined to use every lever at Democrats' disposal to stand up to Donald Trump. Check this page for regular updates on the actions I've taken and make sure to subscribe to my newsletter for a weekly rundown of my latest work.
On Wednesday, March 5, I held a virtual town hall to share how I'm fighting to hold the White House accountable. You can watch that below or HERE.

In all my years as a member of the Appropriations Committee, never before have I witnessed such blatant attacks on the LGBTQI+ community. Over the past year, I’ve sat through bill markups where my colleagues across the aisle have demonized these individuals simply for who they love or how they identify. MAGA Republicans have put dangerous policy riders in our funding bills – using LGBTQI+ individuals as pawns in their political games. It’s unsettling at best, dangerous at worst.

The trip comes at a critical time as Congress considers additional aid for Ukraine and other global crises. Quigley’s visit showcased the importance of U.S. and NATO support for Ukraine and emphasized the additional resources needed to ensure Ukraine’s victory. Quigley was part of a bipartisan CODEL with Representatives French Hill (AR-02) and Stephen Lynch (MA-08).
I have been closely following the events in Israel and in Congress over this past week. I want you to hear the latest straight from me.
First of all, I strongly and unequivocally condemn Hamas' assault on Israel and Israeli citizens and I unwaveringly affirm Israel's right to defend itself. There is never a justification for intentionally targeting civilians. The reports of brutal murders and kidnappings are horrifying, and Hamas must release all hostages immediately.
Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), Co-Chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, released the following statement after voting no on a Republican short-term spending bill that fails to fund the government for a full fiscal year or provide Ukraine with the funding they need:
