U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) and U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) announced the Senate passed legislation to designate the U.S. Post Office facility located at 6300 N. Northwest Highway in Chicago, Illinois as the Officer Joseph P. Cali Post Office Building. Vietnam War Veteran and Chicago Police Officer Joseph P. Cali was shot and killed on May 19, 1975, at the age of 31 while writing a parking ticket in the 2100 block of West Lake Street. He was survived by his wife, Neva, and two young daughters, Jennifer and Carolyn.
