Reps. Mike Quigley and John Katko introduced the bipartisan Prevent Election Hacking Act of 2018 to help combat the threat of election hacking. The legislation will create a competition, commonly known as a bug bounty program, that rewards cyber experts that are able to identify vulnerabilities in our election infrastructure.

Rep. Quigley urged the Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security to restrict the Department of Homeland Security’s ability to use appropriated funds to separate parents from their children and instead include robust funding for community-based alternatives to detention.
