U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, announced the approval of $40 million towards modernizing Chicago’s Union Station (CUS). The funding was part of Amtrak’s Fiscal Year 2024 annual appropriations requests and was included in the FY24 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations bill that was signed into law by President Biden on March 23, 2024.

Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), who served eight years on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, released a statement on the reauthorization of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

Quigley spent two days in Poland before traveling on to Kyiv, Ukraine. During his visit, he met with high-level Polish officials to discuss security in the region amidst Russia’s ongoing war. These officials included Poland’s Deputy Prime Ministers, the Minister of National Defense, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the U.S. Ambassador to Poland.

Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), Co-Chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, released the following statement regarding his recent visit to Ukraine where he met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The trip came at a critical time as aid for Ukraine has stalled in Congress.

“The October 7th terrorist attack was the greatest assault on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. For the hostages still being held by Hamas and their families, the nightmare is not over. Israel is an important ally to the United States as the only democracy in the region and I support their efforts to dismantle Hamas and bring the hostages home. If they are to ensure security for the next generation, Netanyahu must target Hamas surgically and with the protection of innocent Gazans in mind.
