Today, Representatives Mike Quigley (IL-05) and James Comer (KY-01) re-introduced the bipartisan and bicameral Access to Congressionally Mandated Reports Act (ACMRA) to create a single website on which Congress and the public can easily search, sort, and download all agency congressional reports.

This bill passed the U.S. House of Representatives in the 116th Congress unanimously.

Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) and Chicago Transit Authority President Dorval R. Carter, Jr. participated in a hearing on "Creating Equitable Communities Through Transportation and Housing" held by the Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies. Quigley praised CTA's efforts to provide equitable service to all Chicagoans and held up Chicago's transit system as a possible example for other cities.

Today, U.S. Representatives Mike Quigley (IL-05), Brian Higgins (NY-27), Tom Emmer (MN-06), and John Katko (NY-24) re-introduced legislation to award barrier breaking hockey legend Willie O'Ree with the Congressional Gold Medal. O'Ree, known as the Jackie Robinson of ice hockey, was the first black player in the National Hockey League (NHL) and is a Hockey Hall of Fame inductee.

Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) announced his support for the Medicare for All Act of 2021, legislation that would guarantee health care to everyone in America. Endorsed by 300 local, state, and national organizations and co-sponsored by more than half of the House Democratic Caucus including 14 committee chairs and key leadership Members, the landmark bill provides comprehensive benefits to all with no copays, private insurance premiums, deductibles, or other cost-sharing.

Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), co-founder and co-chair of the Transparency Caucus, re-introduced the Transparency in Government Act to increase access, accountability, and transparency in every branch of the federal government. The legislation would expand financial disclosure requirements for both lawmakers and lobbyists, modernize how the public access financial disclosures, and improve judicial transparency. Quigley has introduced this legislation each congress since his first term.

Today, U.S. Representatives Mike Quigley (D-IL) and Morgan Griffith (R-VA), and Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) reintroduced the bipartisan, bicameral Bird Safe Buildings Act. This cost-neutral legislation requires that each public building constructed, acquired, or significantly altered by the General Services Administration (GSA) incorporate bird-safe building materials and design features, to the maximum extent possible. Quigley first introduced this bill in 2010 in the 111th Congress.

Although there has been sporadic mail delivery in our communities before, this is the worst it has been in years.

Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley announced that his Chief of Staff of seven years, Juan Hinojosa, will depart the office at the end of the month and long-time D.C. aide, Allison Jarus will move into the Chief of Staff role. In addition, Max Frankel has been promoted to Legislative Director.

After more than 13 years in public service between the House and Senate, Juan Hinojosa, Quigley's outgoing Chief of Staff will join American Airlines as Managing Director of Government Relations.
