U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) moved to protect America’s natural resources by voting against the controversial Keystone XL Pipeline that would transport dangerous tar sands oil from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico. He also called on President Obama to reject a Presidential Permit for the project.

The Federal Bird-Safe Buildings Act, introduced Wednesday, calls for each federal public building constructed, acquired, or altered by the General Services Administration to "incorporate, to the maximum extent possible, bird-safe building materials and design features."
