"I don't think we're at a constitutional crisis yet. I think they're leading us that way, but it's clearly a constitutional clash which has taken place. Especially internally within the Trump Administration. Let me tell you what I think it really indicates. It indicates that the Speaker of the House, the Chairman of the Intel Committee, Chairman Nunes, are far more concerned with protecting this President legally and politically than they are from keeping us safe."

Today, Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee, on which I am proud to serve, released a misleading, classified memo in an attempt to discredit the FBI and undermine the ongoing investigations into Russian interference in our elections.

Rep. Quigley sent a letter to Chairman Nunes requesting formal, written responses to questions about White House involvement in the compilation of the Majority memo. During the Committee’s Business Meeting on Monday, Rep. Quigley asked a series of questions about the potential role of the White House in a classified memo authored by the Majority staff, and Chairman Nunes declined to answer.
