Quigley Statement on Death of Osama bin Laden

CHICAGO"Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) issued the following statement after President Obama announced the death of Osama bin Laden.

"This is a monumental day for our nation, and a tribute to our intelligence community and our armed forces. I commend President Obama for his decisive action and for dedicating the resources to make this day a reality. My thoughts are with the American families and those around the world who lost loved ones at the hands of this criminal. We know this is not the end of the threat of terrorism, but it is my hope that we can come together to ensure that freedom and justice will always prevail over fear and oppression.
