Rep. Quigley Presses FAA Administrator on O’Hare Noise

October 16, 2019

U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), a Vice-Chair of the Congressional Quiet Skies Caucus, pressed FAA Administrator Stephen Dickson on the FAA's lack of responsiveness to concerns about air traffic noise around O'Hare International Airport and other airports around the country. Quigley's questions for Dickson took place during a meeting between Administrator Dickson and the Congressional Quiet Skies Caucus. Quigley released the following statement following the meeting:

"The FAA's failure to address the concerns of the community around O'Hare and other communities like it has been completely unacceptable. From the astonishing delay in producing their report on the impact of jet noise on communities to he lack of explanations provided to me and other Members of Congress, the FAA's handling of this issue has been appalling. I sincerely hope that the new FAA Administrator takes this issue more seriously and does a much better job than his predecessors in addressing these concerns."
