Quigley to Host Grants Workshop for Non-Profits
CHICAGO - On Wednesday, March 21, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) will host a Non-Profit Grants Workshop for small organizations looking for funding during difficult economic times.
The event will take place from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Chicago Public Library's Austin-Irving Branch, located at 6100 West Irving Park Road on Chicago's northwest side.
Guest speakers include experts from Donors Forum, Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity, Illinois Arts Council, and the City of Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture.
Government agency representatives will share information about upcoming programs and deadlines, and Donors Forum will provide insight into what private funders look for when considering an application.
"As a small non-profit organization, trying to navigate the maze of public and private funding on your own can be overwhelming and fruitless," said Congressman Quigley. "This event is a great opportunity to meet the experts and get advice from those who know the best route to financial support."
Seating is limited and registration is required. To RSVP, please call Congressman Quigley's office at 773-267-5926.
Free parking will be available next door in the St. Pascal lot.
