Quigley Statement on Passing of Dianne Feinstein

Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), released the following statement on the passing of United States Senator Dianne Feinstein.

“Dianne Feinstein was one of the most dedicated, passionate Senators in our nation’s history. She paved the way for progress, serving honorably as the first female chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee. She authored the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban. She investigated and worked to end prisoner torture following September 11. Her vast array of accomplishments embodies the notion of refusing to accept the status quo and pursue justice. Her expertise and insight will be missed, but will be forever etched into our history. I am hopeful that her legacy serves as inspiration to young women across our country.”
