Quigley Statement on Tragic Plane Crash, Death of Polish Officials

CHICAGO - Today, Congressman Mike Quigley (D-IL), whose Chicago-area district is home to one of the United States' largest Polish communities, issued condolences following tragic news of the plane crash that killed Polish President Lech Kaczynski, First Lady Maria Kaczynski, and several ranking military and civilian officers who were traveling to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre:
