Quigley Statement on Bank of Lincolnwood Closing

June 5, 2009

Dear Friends,

I was saddened to learn today that the Bank of Lincolnwood, of which there are two locations in our district, was closed today by the FDIC.

If you currently have funds with the Bank of Lincolnwood, the branches will reopen tomorrow, June 6th, as branches of the Republic Bank of Chicago. Over the weekend, depositors of Bank of Lincolnwood can continue to access their funds through checks, ATM, or their debit cards, and their deposits will continue to be insured by FDIC.

There is no need for customers of the Bank of Lincolnwood to change their banking relationship, as checks drawn on the bank will continue to be processed, and those with loans can continue to pay as usual.

If you have any questions, you can call the FDIC at 1.800.591.6727, or visit them online at www.fdic.gov/bank/individual/failed/lincolnwood.html. In addition, you can call my office in Chicago at 773.267.5926.

Sincerely,

Mike Quigley
Member of Congress
