Quigley Continues to Press on FAA Administrator to Address O’Hare Noise
U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05), a Vice-Chair of the Congressional Quiet Skies Caucus, continued his history of pressing the FAA on their unsatisfactory response to concerns about air traffic noise around O’Hare International Airport and other airports around the country. Quigley, who has long pressured Dickson and the FAA to provide a more adequate response to residents, increased his pressure on Dickson during a virtual meeting this week between the Administrator and the Congressional Quiet Skies Caucus.
Quigley released the following statement after the meeting concluded:
“I have long called for the FAA to provide a serious, comprehensive response to the concerns of residents around O’Hare and other airports across the country. The FAA’s longstanding delay in producing their report on the impacts of airport noise is a continued cause for concern for myself, other Members, and my constituents. While today’s meeting was productive, I sincerely hope that Administrator Dickson is at long last able to provide some relief to these communities.”
