Quigley, Kaptur Statement on Nomination of Bridget Brink as U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine

Today, Mike Quigley (D-IL) and Representatives Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) – Co-Chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Ukraine Caucus – released the following statement on President Joe Biden's plan to nominate Ambassador Bridget Brink to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine:
"Bridget Brink's nomination to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine is enormously welcome news. In the 30-year history of U.S.-Ukraine relations, there has never been a greater need for steady leadership at the helm of America's diplomatic mission. As Ukraine fights for its future as a sovereign, independent nation, the role of U.S. Ambassador will be critical in the global effort to end Putin's massacre and restore Ukraine in the post-war era. We urge the Senate to move quickly on Ambassador Brink's confirmation."
