Vaccine Booster
COVID-19 Updates
We've come a long way since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to the scientific breakthroughs that have given us three approved vaccines, and the selfless efforts of Americans across the country—spread, cases, and hospitalizations are down from their peaks.
But there is more we can do to end the pandemic for good.
Most recently, we learned about the new COVID-19 variant, known as Omicron. As President Biden has said, this variant is cause for concern, but not cause for panic. Scientists and experts are looking into the variant and we should know more about it soon.
In the meantime, our best defense is everything you already know: wear your mask inside, stay home if you feel sick, and get your vaccine. Everyone ages 5 and older can be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Thanks to the vaccines, millions of people have avoided getting COVID, and if they contracted the virus, have avoided getting seriously ill from it. As we learn more about the newest variant, we can strengthen our defense against the virus by getting our booster shots.
All individuals 18 years of age and older are eligible to receive their booster shot after the completion of a primary vaccination series. Individuals who received Pfizer or Moderna vaccines are eligible for a booster six months after receiving their second shot, while individuals who received a Johnson & Johnson vaccine are eligible two months after their primary vaccination.

The more people who get their vaccine and their booster shot, the stronger we are against this virus, and the sooner our world can return to normal.
Do it for yourself, your family, your community, and for your country.
