Quigley & Fritchey Offer Senior Property Tax Bill Assistance
Where: District Office of Congressman Mike Quigley (3742 W. Irving Park Rd.)
When: Friday, March 9th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm
According to State law, seniors must re-apply for property tax exemptions every year, and the March 28th deadline is fast approaching. While property taxes are not administered by the federal government, we're always looking for ways to make government services more accessible to you. Along with our staff, Commissioner Fritchey and Assessor Berrios' team will also be on hand to assist. Click here for a list of materials to bring.
Law Enforcement Hockey Classic
Where: The Edge Ice Arena (735 E. Jefferson St., Bensenville)
When: Saturday, March 10th from 7:00pm to 10:00pm
I join Team FBI as we take on the Chicago Police Department's squad in the Law Enforcement Classic. The event supports Honor Flight Chicago's meaningful work to bring WWII vets to the Washington memorial in their honor. I hope you'll make it out to support a great cause!
Mental Health Forum on Suicide Prevention
Where: Adler School of Professional Psychology, Community Hall (17 N. Dearborn St.)
When: Wednesday, March 14th from 10:00am to 11:30am
Suicide rates are the highest they've been in 15 years, and suicide is currently the 10th leading cause of death in the United States. Among those who die by suicide, 90% had a treatable psychiatric disorder at time of their death. Join us for a community conversation hosted by our office in conjunction with Congressman Danny K. Davis.

Finding sources of funding as a smaller nonprofit in this new environment can often be bewildering, maze-like, and overwhelming. Experts at our grants workshop will share tips and ideas for navigating public and private funding as well as the nuts and bolts of getting your application into shape and into contention for a grant.

Congressman Mike Quigley's Small Business Fair
Where: Chicago Academy (3400 N. Austin Ave.)
When: Friday, April 13th from 9:00am to 12:00pm
Congressman Quigley's Small Business Fair will provide a one stop shop of government resources to small businesses in the district. The fair will feature two panels (both require an RSVP due to limited seating). One panel will focus on what government programs and resources are available to small businesses. The other panel will feature how and where small businesses can obtain funding.

Congressman Mike Quigley's One-Stop Job & Resource Fair
Where: Northeastern Illinois University (5501 N. Kedzie Ave.)
When: Tuesday, April 24th from 10:00am to 1:00pm
Connecting our constituents with employment resources is a top priority for our office. We are hosting a one-stop job fair that will include employers and workforce development agencies to provide you with resources you need to take your next step to a new career. This event is free and open to the public.
