Quigley Invite to April 30th Housing Fair
Dear Friends,
As your U.S. Representative, one of my top priorities is to help you cut through government red tape, put you in touch with people who can help, and coordinate the assistance you need on issues like housing and mortgages. Whether you have questions about loan modifications, the foreclosure process, or what to do after a foreclosure, I want to provide hands-on, accessible support to homeowners in the 5th Congressional District.
To that end, I am organizing a Housing Information Fair on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Wright College, 4300 N. Narragansett Ave. in Chicago (map).
What to Expect:
Representatives from my office, HUD-approved housing counselors, and city and state agencies will be on hand to answer questions, help resolve any difficulties you may be having, and offer other useful services. Social service agencies will be available to provide information on public aid, transition assistance and housing. There will be information on mortgage fraud, foreclosure prevention, foreclosure mediation programs, and legal rights. Polish and Spanish speaking representatives will be available at the event.
Registration:
No registration is needed for this event.
What to Bring:
Homeowners looking to speak with HUD-approved housing counselors are encouraged to bring the following documents, although they are not required for all types of assistance:
¢ A valid state ID or driver's license
¢ Last two (2) months pay stubs for all wage earners/household members with income
¢ Last two (2) months bank statements. All pages of bank statements must be submitted
¢ Last two (2) years W-2's for all sources of income
¢ Last two (2) years federal tax returns
¢ Complete and accurate household budget
¢ Recent mortgage statement
Other documents, if applicable:
¢ Most recent foreclosure papers
¢ If receiving government benefits, please remit current award letter (including unemployment benefits)
¢ If receiving child support, please remit copy of current order
¢ Signed IRS Form 4506T (form will be available at the fair)
I hope you can take advantage of this valuable opportunity to get help with any housing issues you may be facing. It is a privilege serving you in the U.S. Congress, and I look forward to seeing you at the fair!
Sincerely,
Mike Quigley
