The new 5th Congressional District of Illinois.

We can help with immigration and passport problems.

Our broken immigration system leaves people with questions that can seriously impact their families. My office can help you navigate Green Card and naturalization applications, DREAMer cases, and pending applications with the USCIS or the U.S. Department of State. We can also help constituents through the process of obtaining an emergency passport, reporting a lost or stolen passport, and monitoring overseas travel restrictions.

Questions about your Social Security or Medicare?

The last thing people 65 and older need in a rough economy is to have problems with the benefits they have earned and need to live independently. My office can assist you with your Social Security benefits, lost checks and denied claims, as well as Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Medicare issues.

My office helps veterans of all ages get the help they earned.

Whether it's education, VA medical, survivor, or employment benefits, my office can help you with receiving benefits and replacement of medals earned. If you have served after September 10, 2001, we can provide information about the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill, which provides financial support for education and housing to use at colleges, universities, trade schools, and for on-the-job training, apprenticeships, and flight schools.

We can help students who want to attend U.S. Service Academies.

Each year I have the privilege of nominating a limited number of people to four of the five service academies. The honor of attending West Point, Annapolis or another service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.

As always, it is an honor to serve you. My district staff is here to assist with any federal issue you might have, so please don't hesitate to contact our office if there's anything we can do for you. You can also connect with us on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Sincerely,
