As we all know, the Omicron variant has caused a significant increase in COVID-19 cases throughout the country.

While the vaccine is still the most effective way to protect against COVID-19 and has been vital in preventing serious illness, testing is also an important tool for slowing the spread.

This week, the Biden Administration launched a new, easy-to-use program to provide FREE COVID-19 Rapid Testing kits to all households.

The tests are expected to be shipped within 7-12 days of submitting your request. Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order four tests.

If you are experiencing trouble entering your information into the site, please contact the USPS toll-free phone number (800) 275-8777.

There are other critical, and simple steps we can take to protect ourselves and those around us from contracting COVID-19.

  • Wear a mask
  • Sanitize your hands
  • Avoid large, indoor gatherings
  • Get your vaccine
  • Get your booster
  • Get tested

Recently, the CDC expanded eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine to include every one 5 years of age and older.

Anyone ages 12 and older also qualifies for the booster shot. The CDC recommends receiving a booster dose at least 5 months after completing your primary COVID-19 vaccination series.

It is important to know that in addition to the free test program being provided by the Biden administration, your ACA-compliant health insurance plan is required to reimburse you for 8 at-home tests per month for each person on your plan.

Additionally, no-cost antigen and PCR COVID-19 tests are available to everyone in the U.S., including the uninsured, at more than 20,000 sites nationwide.

The more people who get their vaccine and their booster shot, the stronger we are.
