Catching Up with Quigley: Week of April 6
Trump threw the world into chaos this week. That's why I'm calling for his removal.
1. Pushed for Trump's Removal by Any Legal Means
On Tuesday, Donald Trump threatened the "entire civilization" of Iran.
Every day, he commits acts unfit for the office of the President—but threatening to kill an entire country of people is a new level of unhinged.
I'm officially calling for the Cabinet to remove Trump from office under the 25th Amendment. If they can't, Congress must return ASAP and begin impeachment proceedings.
I'm also calling for an independent mental health assessment of the President. We can't be living on thin ice while the leader of the free world threatens to blow countries off the planet. This is not a stable individual.

2. Introduced Bill to Reauthorize ALS Research Program
I also introduced the Accelerating Access to Critical Therapies for ALS Reauthorization Act (ACT for ALS Reauthorization Act) of 2026. The ACT for ALS Reauthorization will help people living with ALS continue to access promising treatments and further advance the scientific understanding of neurodegenerative diseases, by renewing the five-year program started by my first ACT for ALS law. My new bill will have a hearing this Wednesday back in Washington.
I'm leading this bipartisan effort with Rep. Ken Calvert (CA-41), Senator Chris Coons (DE), and Senator Lisa Murkowski (AK). I'm also thankful for the support of I AM ALS, the ALS Association, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and ALS United.

3. Celebrated Easter with Neighborhood Egg Hunts
I was honored to join this year's Easter egg hunts hosted by the Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club and Wrightwood Neighbors. In a world of chaos, it’s important to try to find joy and help our kids find a sense of normalcy. Hope everyone had a happy Easter!
