Catching Up with Quigley: Week of April 13
From fighting for ALS research funding to pushing for Pete Hegseth's impeachment, it's been a busy week in Washington.
1. Hosted a Press Conference to Push for the ACT for ALS Reauthorization
On Wednesday, I led a press conference on Capitol Hill to advocate for my bipartisan, bicameral bill: the ACT for ALS Reauthorization. The ACT for ALS Reauthorization Act will renew a five-year program that advances ALS science and helps people living with ALS access promising treatments.
I'm so thankful for my fellow bill sponsors Congressman Ken Calvert (CA-41), Senator Lisa Murkowski (AK), and Senator Chris Coons (DE). I also want to thank our press conference speakers, including Rep. Morgan Griffith (VA-09), Chair of the Energy & Commerce Health Subcommittee, and my friends Brian Wallach and Sandra Abrevaya of I AM ALS.

2. Joined Articles of Impeachment Against Pete Hegseth
I also joined Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03) in introducing articles to impeach Pete Hegseth. From leaking classified information during #Signalgate to carrying out unlawful military strikes, Hegseth has abused the office of the Secretary of Defense and must be removed.

3. Met with Ukrainian Prime Minister on Future Support
I also met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko this week alongside the rest of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus. We discussed how the United States can better support Ukraine, especially as Trump continues capitulating to Putin.
As Co-Chair of the Caucus, I'm also calling for stronger sanctions on Russia as it deepens cooperation with Iran in ways that destabilize global security and threaten our forces and allies.
