Rep. Quigley released the following constituent newsletter in response to the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings:

Dear Friend,

It has been a hard 48 hours in Washington, but before the House adjourns for the next six weeks, I want to share some final thoughts.

To Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, thank you for your courage and your commitment to civic duty. Your testimony was heart-wrenching and powerful. Your bravery is contagious and transformative. We stand with you.

To Senate Republicans, you have regrettably sent two very clear messages of your own: To victims, you will not be believed. To assaulters, you will not be held accountable.

It is unconscionable that they are moving forward with this confirmation process without an FBI investigation, without subpoenaing key witnesses, without doing their due diligence or their job.

To my constituents and concerned citizens across the country, I know you will not forget today, and neither will I. We evidently have a long way to go in our commitment to honor the dignity and preserve the safety of all, but believe me when I say l will continue to fight for these ideals on your behalf.
